Our October meeting will feature, “Take Back the Bible: A Scriptural Self Defense Class for the LGBT Community and their Allies” on October 9 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Montclair, NJ.
In this presentation, The Rev. Diana Wilcox, Rector of Christ Episcopal Church and Chaplain at Montclair State University, will review the “clobber texts” – the scriptural passages used to condemn homosexuals – offering insight into the historical context and the meaning for people of faith today. This presentation is based on a popular series she does on the Montclair State University campus.
