GETTING THE WORD ABOUT FOR OUR NEXT PFLAG MEETING THURSDAY, OCTOBER 13TH. Speaker, Autumn Bermea, will come and educate us!! All are invited! Title: "Relationship Abuse Doesn't Discriminate": Dating Violence and LGBTQ+ Youth Description: According to the CDC, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans*, and Queer youth are especially vulnerable to experience dating violence. In order to help build healthy and loving relationships, Autumn Bermea will be discussing dating violence among LGBTQ+ teenagers and young adults. She will also discuss resources for survivors and how to support loved ones who have experienced dating violence. Autumn is a doctoral student in Montclair State University's PhD in Family Studies program specializing in relationship violence in the LGBTQ+ community.
